Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Answers telephone promptly preferably by the third ring
  • Ensure calls are identified and properly categorized to forward to appropriate area timely and efficiently
  • Demonstrates proper telephone etiquette when receiving transferring and placing calls on hold
  • Accurately enters patient demographics information and insurance data
  • Verifies insurance information collects referrals and authorizations or other forms as documented
  • Checks to ensure patients fill out applicable forms completely and correctly
  • Informs secretary or Office Coordinator when supply level is approaching reorder point
  • Copies patient records if requested by insurance company or other physician offices
  • Labels and uploads documents in EPIC and prints for doctor review when necessary
  • Efficiently schedules appointments documenting appointment notes and following practice policy
  • Completes daily receipts journals and deposits to cashiers
  • Proofreads emails and encrypts confidential information before sending to patients
