Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior customer service experience
  • Ability to stand, walk and sit for extended periods
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to handle guest complaints calmly
  • Willingness to work varying schedules including nights and weekends
  • Neat and professional appearance
  • CPR or First Aid certification preferred
  • Ability to perform essential job functions with or without accommodation

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers using patience, tact and diplomacy
  • Basic mathematical and calculator skills
  • Ability to listen effectively and communicate clearly in English
  • Ability to stand, walk and sit continuously to perform job functions
  • Visual and hearing ability to detect emergency signs
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior customer service experience
  • Preferred hospitality or front desk experience
  • Preferred CPR certification or First Aid training
  • Neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
  • Additional language skills preferred

Job Duties

  • Greet customers immediately with a friendly and sincere welcome
  • Use clear and understandable speaking voice to respond to inquiries about hotel operations and local attractions
  • Promptly answer telephone calls and accurately record and communicate messages to guests
  • Arrange and confirm recreation, business, and dining activities using the telephone
  • Distribute printed materials such as brochures of local attractions and hotel information
  • Organize, set up, and monitor food and beverage program in Concierge Lounge
  • Assist guests with food and beverage services including serving and cleanup
  • Field guest complaints and resolve conflicts with tact and diplomacy
  • Operate facsimile machine and photocopier
  • Escort VIP guests to accommodations
  • Handle cash transactions and balance assigned house bank
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
