Job Duties

  • Oversee the community entry area for visitors, guests, and residents
  • extend a warm welcome and greeting
  • offer and provide beverages to visitors and guests
  • ensure that the community safety protocols are in place
  • Contact the Director of Sales, Executive Director, or Department Coordinator to meet with prospective residents, families, or visitors
  • greet potential candidates interested in learning about Sunrise careers and direct candidates to apply online or capture information into the Applicant Tracking System
  • answer incoming telephone calls and resident calls within two to three rings with an appropriate greeting
  • take complete messages with pertinent information and communicate messages
  • offer and provide a community overview to callers
  • manage appointments for residents and family members
  • send get well cards to residents in the hospital
  • order Memory Flower for residents who have passed away
  • send sympathy cards to families and responsible parties
  • order flowers and name plates for new residents prior to move in
  • order guest meals for resident and family on day of move in
  • create and maintain marketing and move-in packet inventory
  • support the Director of Sales by handling inquiry calls and encourage interest in Sunrise Senior Living
  • assist Director of Sales with lead tracking database entry
  • perform administrative duties related to resident move-in process
  • keep desk and entry area neat and organized
  • check Bistro regularly for cleanliness and refreshment availability
  • maintain and clean the popcorn machine daily
  • keep music playing throughout the day
  • ensure desk coverage when stepping away
  • partner with community team to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
  • practice safety procedures including PPE, fire extinguishers, Safety Data Sheets, and Lockout Tagout
  • maintain resident roster, team member roster, and current work schedules for emergencies
  • champion the Safe Leaving Program by partnering with leadership
  • respond to emergencies according to policies
  • ensure guests and residents sign in and out
  • maintain a high-risk elopement list
  • update resident phone list, move-in and move-out register, and guest logs
  • prepare meal tickets and tally meal counts
  • collect and process meal ticket money
  • organize and distribute mail and newspapers
  • post and display daily menu
  • maintain resident forms for miscellaneous credits
  • assist with recruitment data entry
  • monitor and order office supplies
  • track and disperse paychecks
  • participate actively as a team member committed to team goals
  • demonstrate Team Member Credo in interactions
  • commit to serving residents and guests through Principles of Service
  • engage in customer and team member engagement programs
  • attend meetings
  • maintain compliance with training requirements
  • perform other assigned duties
