Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in guest relations or hospitality preferred
- proficiency with property management systems
- strong communication skills
- ability to multitask and handle stress
- availability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
- physical ability to stand and walk frequently
- adherence to grooming and uniform standards
- commitment to attending all mandatory trainings
- legal authorization to work in the location
- willingness to promote safety and security measures
Job Qualifications
- excellent work organization and problem solving skills

- previous leadership experience in guest relations preferred
- previous PMS experience required
- computer literacy in Microsoft Windows applications required
- university/college degree in related discipline an asset

Job Duties
- consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
- handle guest concerns and react quickly, logging and notifying proper areas/departments
- establish and maintain effective communication with all departments, especially front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, engineering
- respond to all emails in a timely and professional manner adhering to Forbes standards
- monitor and respond to guest Kipsu text messages within standard time frame
- respond to all incoming calls using proper telephone etiquette
- properly log and detail all guest bookings in ALICE and provide printed itineraries
- complete billing procedures daily for third party vendors
- ensure guest attention is the utmost priority during engagement
- demonstrate Fairmont brand standards by actively engaging guests
- follow front office service essentials
- maintain respectful and professional relationships with third party vendors
- never say no to a guest request unless illegal, immoral or unsafe and offer alternatives
- maintain thorough knowledge of hotel offerings
- maintain thorough knowledge of San Diego area attractions and dining
- anticipate guest needs and provide thoughtful suggestions
- explain resort activities in great detail
- provide suggestions and recommendations to enhance guest experience
- highlight guest preferences to ensure seamless service
- exceed customer expectations turning moments into memories
- uphold and demonstrate Fairmont's value statement
- arrive on time and follow grooming standards
- follow all hotel and Forbes standards
- exhibit outstanding guest service and communication skills
