Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in customer service
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer applications
- Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
- Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently
- Compliance with safety protocols and procedures
- Ability to participate in required training and meetings
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Ability to work Sunday 8 AM to 4 PM

Job Qualifications
- High school degree or GED
- Proven customer service experience and skills
- Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel) and Sunrise applications
- Ability to learn new applications quickly
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Accurate record keeping abilities
- Good judgment, problem solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to handle multiple priorities effectively
- Commitment to team member credo and Principles of Service
- Experience in a community or customer-focused environment preferred but not required
Job Duties
- Oversee the community entry area for visitors, guests, and residents, extend a warm welcome and greeting, offer and provide beverages to visitors and guests, and ensure that the community safety protocols are in place
- Contact the Director of Sales, Executive Director, or Department Coordinator to meet with prospective residents, families, or visitors and ensure wait times are minimal
- Greet potential candidates interested in learning more about Sunrise careers and job openings at the community and direct candidates to apply online or capture the candidate information into the Applicant Tracking System to launch the recruitment process
- Answer incoming telephone calls and resident calls within two to three rings with the appropriate community greeting message and identification
- Take complete messages with pertinent information and communicate messages to the intended recipient
- Offer and provide a community overview to the caller, determine who to forward the caller to, and notify the caller who they are being transferred to
- Manage appointments for residents and family members such as hairdresser and transportation
- Send get well cards to residents in the hospital
- Order Memory Flower for residents who have passed away
- Send sympathy cards to families and responsible parties as needed
- Order flowers and name plates for new residents prior to move-in
- Order guest meals for residents and family on the day of move-in
- Create and maintain marketing and move-in packet inventory
- Support the Director of Sales by taking and handling initial inquiry calls with potential families and residents and encourage interest in Sunrise Senior Living
- Assist with Customer Relationship Management lead tracking database entry
- Perform other administrative duties related to the resident move-in process
- Keep desk and entry area neat and organized
- Check the Bistro regularly for cleanliness, ensure fresh coffee, fruit, popcorn, and snacks are available
- Maintain and clean the popcorn machine daily and restock as necessary
- Keep music playing throughout the day
- Ensure coverage at the front desk when stepping away
- Partner with community team to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
- Practice safety procedures including use of PPE, fire extinguishers, SDS, and Lockout Tagout
- Maintain resident and team member rosters and current work schedules for emergency procedures
- Respond to emergencies according to policies and procedures
- Ensure proper sign-in and sign-out of guests and residents
- Maintain a high-risk elopement list with photographs at front desk
- Update resident phone list, move-in and move-out register, and guest/sign-in logs
- Prepare meal tickets and tally meal count sheets for Dining Service Coordinator
- Collect and process meal ticket money following business control procedures
- Organize and distribute mail and community newspapers
- Post and display daily menu on Menu Board
- Maintain resident forms for miscellaneous credits
- Assist with recruitment data entry and administrative duties
- Monitor and order office supplies
- Track and disperse team member paychecks
- Participate actively in team meetings and training
- Demonstrate commitment to serving residents and guests through Principles of Service
- Perform other duties as assigned
