Job Requirements

  • High school education
  • minimum of two years experience in a related position preferably in hospitality
  • ability to add, subtract and multiply
  • excellent communication skills including active listening
  • ability to speak, write and read English
  • proficiency with basic office equipment including computers
  • proficient in Office software
  • good physical health verified by a health screening including chest x-ray or intradermal test
  • criminal record clearance prior to employment
  • ability to perform physical requirements of the job
  • sincere compassion towards older adults
  • genuine concern for physical and emotional needs of seniors and families

Job Duties

  • Provide exceptional customer service to residents, guests and visitors
  • greet all residents and visitors and provide information
  • assist residents, family members and guests with general requests
  • arrange tours of the property for visitors
  • answer telephones, record information and direct calls
  • display knowledge of services and programs at the property
  • manage mail operations including sorting and recording packages
  • handle business center requests such as photocopying and faxing
  • process incoming mail and distribute accordingly
  • complete opening and closing duties
  • take reservations for dining, activities and transportation accurately
  • receive and record maintenance work orders
  • monitor Emergency Alert System and respond promptly
  • maintain Resident Notice Binder
  • arrange parking and retrieval of valet cars
  • fulfill personal concierge requests
  • maintain neat and orderly reception area
  • ensure all signage is accurate and timely
  • perform clerical duties for property staff
  • update and assemble marketing packets
  • respond to residents' concerns and emergencies
  • support community marketing efforts
  • communicate any resident condition changes
  • maintain a safe and secure environment
  • encourage teamwork
  • support positive and professional image
  • perform other duties as assigned
