Job Requirements

  • High school degree or GED
  • Proven customer service experience and skills
  • Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office and Sunrise applications with ability to learn new software
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Good organizational, time management, and follow-through skills
  • Possess effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrate good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to maintain accurate record keeping

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in customer service roles
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Excel, and proprietary applications
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to perform administrative tasks efficiently
  • Knowledge of risk management and safety compliance principles
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize duties
  • Experience with recruitment processes is a plus
  • Ability to maintain a welcoming and organized front desk environment

Job Duties

  • Oversee the community entry area for visitors, guests, and residents, extend a warm welcome and greeting, offer and provide beverages to visitors and guests, and ensure that the community safety protocols are in place
  • Contact the Director of Sales, Executive Director, or Department Coordinator to meet with prospective residents, families, or visitors and ensure wait times are minimal
  • Greet potential candidates interested in learning about Sunrise careers and direct them to apply online or capture their information into the Applicant Tracking System
  • Answer incoming telephone calls and resident calls within two to three rings with appropriate greeting and identification
  • Take complete messages with pertinent information and communicate messages to intended recipients
  • Offer and provide a community overview to callers and determine forwarding
  • Manage appointments for residents and family members such as hairdresser and transportation
  • Send get well cards to residents in the hospital
  • Order Memory Flower for residents who have passed away
  • Send sympathy cards to families as needed
  • Order flowers and name plates for new residents prior to move-in
  • Order guest meals for residents and family on the day of move-in
  • Create and maintain marketing and move-in packet inventory
  • Support Director of Sales with initial inquiry calls and Customer Relationship Management lead tracking
  • Perform administrative duties related to resident move-in
  • Keep the desk and entry area neat and organized
  • Regularly check the Bistro for cleanliness, ensure fresh coffee, snacks, and maintain the popcorn machine
  • Keep music playing throughout the day
  • Ensure coverage for the front desk when away
  • Partner with community team to comply with health and safety regulations and risk management policies
  • Practice safety procedures including PPE, fire extinguishers, Safety Data Sheets, and Lockout Tagout
  • Maintain resident rosters, team member rosters, and work schedules for emergencies
  • Champion the Safe Leaving Program and ensure safety of residents
  • Respond to emergencies per policies
  • Oversee guest and resident sign-in/out
  • Maintain high-risk elopement list
  • Monitor entry and exit of residents
  • Update resident phone list, move-in/out register, and guest logs
  • Prepare meal tickets and tally meal count sheets
  • Collect and process meal ticket money
  • Organize and distribute mail and newspapers
  • Post daily menu
  • Maintain resident credit forms and assist with recruitment data entry
  • Monitor and order office supplies
  • Track and disperse team member paychecks
  • Participate actively in team goals and engagement programs
  • Maintain compliance in required training
  • Perform other assigned duties.
