Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Oversee the community entry area for visitors, guests, and residents
- extend a warm welcome and greeting
- offer and provide beverages to visitors and guests
- ensure that the community safety protocols are in place
- Contact the Director of Sales, Executive Director, or Department Coordinator to meet with prospective residents, families, or visitors and ensure wait times are minimal
- Greet potential candidates interested in learning more about Sunrise careers and job openings and direct candidates to apply online or capture candidate information into the Applicant Tracking System to initiate recruitment
- Answer incoming telephone and resident calls promptly and with appropriate community greeting messages
- Take complete messages including name, number, and message and communicate them to intended recipients
- Offer community overview to callers, determine appropriate transfer and notify the caller
- Manage appointments for residents and family members such as hairdresser and transportation
- Send get well cards to residents in hospital
- Order Memory Flower for residents who have passed away
- Send sympathy cards to families or responsible parties as needed
- Order flowers and name plates for new residents prior to move-in
- Order guest meals for residents and families on move-in day
- Create and maintain marketing and move-in packet inventory
- Support the Director of Sales with initial inquiry calls and encourage interest in Sunrise Senior Living
- Assist with Customer Relationship Management lead database entry if applicable
- Perform general administrative duties related to resident move-in process
- Keep the front desk and entry area neat and organized
- Monitor Bistro area cleanliness and refreshments, maintain popcorn machine and restock as necessary
- Keep background music playing throughout the day
- Ensure front desk coverage when stepping away
- Partner with community team to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety requirements
- Practice safety procedures including PPE, fire extinguishers, SDS, and Lockout Tagout
- Maintain resident and team member rosters and work schedules for emergencies
- Champion Safe Leaving Program and procedures
- Respond to emergencies following policies
- Ensure all guests and residents sign in and out appropriately
- Maintain high-risk elopement list at front desk
- Maintain heightened awareness of all resident entries and exits
- Update resident phone list and roster daily
- Prepare meal tickets and tally meal counts
- Collect and account meal ticket money per internal controls
- Organize and distribute mail
- Collect and distribute resident and community newspapers
- Post and display daily menu
- Maintain resident forms for miscellaneous credits
- Assist with recruitment process including data entry
- Monitor and order office supplies
- Track and disperse team member paychecks
- Participate actively as team member and commit to team goals
- Demonstrate Team Member Credo in daily interactions
- Commit to serving residents and guests through Principles of Service
- Engage in team member survey and improvement planning
- Attend meetings as directed
- Maintain compliance with required training
- Perform other duties as assigned
