Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- minimum 1 year of experience in concierge or customer service role in a large public setting
- strong communication skills
- ability to work independently
- flexible schedule availability
- physical ability to stand, walk, or run for 95% of the workday
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- tolerance to weather exposure and vehicle emissions
- ability to operate necessary equipment
- good interpersonal skills
Job Qualifications

- typically requires 1 year of experience in service management as a concierge or greeter in a large public facility
- excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- ability to problem solve and work independently without direct supervision
- demonstrated ability to work a flexible, customer-oriented schedule
- knowledge of principles of growth and development over the lifespan
- ability to assess patient data reflective of status and age-specific needs
Job Duties
- greets customers and assesses their immediate needs
- successfully manages the first impression of the facility
- offers assistance in any way necessary including assisting out of vehicles, locating wheelchairs, providing directions, and escorting to destinations
- passes customers to volunteers for escorts when possible
- utilizes admitting or other departments to verify destination and remains with patients who are alone or in wheelchairs
- assists in maintaining smooth traffic flow at facility entrances
- arranges parking and transportation needs including valet service, tour buses, taxi vouchers, and van transport
- assures working area is clean, safe, and free from obstacles
- reports any security or safety issues to Public Safety Services immediately
- collaborates with hospital support staff such as Public Safety, Environmental Services, Plant Operations, Patient Transport, and Grounds
- demonstrates knowledge and skills to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served
