Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven customer service experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Sunrise software applications
  • Ability to work Sunday, Monday, and Wednesday evenings from 3pm to 7pm
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Commitment to adhering to community safety protocols and risk management procedures
  • Completion of any pre-employment screenings including drug testing and health evaluations
  • Covid-19 and influenza vaccination if mandated by law

Job Qualifications

  • High school degree or GED
  • Proven customer service experience and skills
  • Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel) and Sunrise applications with ability to learn new applications
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational, time management, and follow-through skills
  • Accurate record keeping abilities
  • Good judgment, problem solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Commitment to serving residents and guests through the Principles of Service
  • Completion of required training and compliance with safety regulations

Job Duties

  • Oversee the community entry area for visitors, guests, and residents, extending a warm welcome and greeting, offering and providing beverages to visitors and guests, and ensuring community safety protocols are in place
  • Contact the Director of Sales, Executive Director, or Department Coordinator to meet with prospective residents, families, or visitors and minimize wait times
  • Greet potential candidates interested in learning more about Sunrise careers and direct candidates to apply online or capture candidate information into the Applicant Tracking System to launch recruitment
  • Answer incoming telephone and resident calls promptly with appropriate greetings and identification
  • Take complete messages with pertinent information and communicate them to intended recipients
  • Offer and provide a community overview to callers, determine who to forward calls to, and notify callers of transfers
  • Manage appointments for residents and family members such as hairdresser, transportation, etc.
  • Send get well cards to residents in the hospital, order Memory Flowers for deceased residents, and send sympathy cards to families as needed
