Job Duties

  • Oversee the community entry area for visitors, guests, and residents, extend a warm welcome and greeting, offer and provide beverages to visitors and guests, and ensure that the community safety protocols are in place
  • contact the Director of Sales, Executive Director, or Department Coordinator to meet with prospective residents, families, or visitors and ensure wait times are minimal
  • greet potential candidates interested in learning more about Sunrise careers and job openings and direct candidates to apply online or capture the candidate information into the Applicant Tracking System to launch recruitment
  • answer incoming telephone calls and resident calls within two to three rings with the appropriate community greeting message and identification
  • take complete messages with pertinent information and communicate messages to the intended recipient
  • offer and provide a community overview to callers, determine who to forward the caller to and notify the caller who they are being transferred to
  • manage appointments for residents and family members
  • send get well cards to residents in the hospital
  • order Memory Flowers for residents that have passed away
  • send sympathy cards to families and responsible parties as needed
  • order flowers and name plates for new residents prior to move in
  • order guest meals for resident and family for day of move in
  • create and maintain marketing and move-in packet inventory
  • support the Director of Sales by handling initial inquiry calls and encouraging interest in Sunrise Senior Living
  • assist with Customer Relationship Management lead tracking database entry
  • keep desk and entry area neat and organized
  • check Bistro for cleanliness and supplies, maintain and clean popcorn machine daily, and restock snacks
  • keep music playing throughout the day
  • ensure front desk coverage when stepping away
  • partner with community team to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and Risk Management programs
  • practice safety procedures including use of PPE, fire extinguishers, Safety Data Sheets, and Lockout Tagout procedures
  • maintain resident roster, team member roster, and work schedules for emergency procedures
  • champion Safe Leaving Program and respond to emergencies as per policies
  • ensure guests and residents sign in and out appropriately
  • maintain high-risk elopement list
  • update resident phone list, move-in and move-out register, guest and sign-in logs
  • prepare meal tickets and tally meal counts
  • collect and process meal ticket money in line with procedures
  • organize and distribute mail and community newspapers
  • post and display Daily Menu
  • maintain resident forms for credits as directed
  • assist with recruitment data entry and general administrative duties
  • monitor and order office supplies
  • track and disperse team member paychecks
  • participate actively as a team member toward team goals
  • demonstrate commitment to the Team Member Credo and Principles of Service
  • contribute to customer and team member engagement programs
  • attend regular meetings as directed
  • maintain compliance with required training
  • perform other duties as assigned
