Job Requirements

  • High school degree or GED
  • prior customer service experience
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office and other computer applications
  • ability to handle multiple priorities and multitask
  • strong verbal and written communication skills
  • knowledge of health and safety standards
  • physical ability to perform job duties
  • willingness to comply with drug testing and health screening
  • availability to work Thursday and Friday evenings 4pm-8pm, and Sundays 2pm-8pm
  • ability to interact positively with seniors and families
  • dependable attendance and punctuality

Job Qualifications

  • High school degree or GED
  • proven customer service experience and skills
  • proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel)
  • ability to learn new software applications
  • understanding of safety and regulatory compliance
  • reliable and dependable with good organizational and communication skills
  • ability to multitask and maintain accurate records
  • good judgment and problem-solving capabilities

Job Duties

  • Oversee the community entry area for visitors, guests, and residents
  • extend a warm welcome and greeting
  • offer and provide beverages to visitors and guests
  • ensure community safety protocols are in place
  • contact the Director of Sales or Executive Director to meet with prospective residents, families, or visitors to minimize wait times
  • greet potential job candidates and direct them to apply online or capture information in the Applicant Tracking System
  • answer incoming calls promptly with appropriate greetings
  • take and communicate complete messages
  • provide community overviews to callers and route calls appropriately
  • manage appointments for residents and family members
  • send get well and sympathy cards
  • order flowers and name plates for new residents
  • maintain marketing and move-in packet inventories
  • support initial inquiry calls to build interest in Sunrise Senior Living
  • assist Customer Relationship Management database entry
  • keep front desk and entry area neat and organized
  • monitor Bistro cleanliness and supplies
  • play music to maintain pleasant atmosphere
  • ensure coverage when stepping away
  • partner in risk management to comply with safety regulations
  • practice safety procedures including use of PPE and emergency readiness
  • maintain resident and team member rosters and schedules
  • champion Safe Leaving Program
  • respond to emergencies per policy
  • ensure entry and exit logs are maintained
  • update resident phone lists, move-in/move-out registers, and guest logs
  • prepare and process meal tickets and money
  • distribute mail and newspapers
  • post daily menus
  • assist with recruitment data entry tasks
  • monitor and order office supplies
  • track and disperse paychecks
  • actively participate as a team member
  • demonstrate Team Member Credo and Principles of Service
  • engage in training and meetings
  • perform other duties as assigned
