Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in customer service
  • Basic computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
  • Willingness to comply with health and safety protocols including drug testing and vaccinations as required by law
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Availability to work flexible hours including some weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Proven customer service experience and skills
  • Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel) and Sunrise applications
  • Ability to learn new software applications

  • Accuracy in record keeping
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Experience in a hospitality, healthcare, or senior living environment preferred

Job Duties

  • Oversee the community entry area for visitors, guests, and residents, extend a warm welcome and greeting, offer and provide beverages to visitors and guests, and ensure community safety protocols are in place
  • Contact the Director of Sales, Executive Director, or Department Coordinator to meet with prospective residents, families, or visitors and ensure wait times are minimal
  • Greet potential candidates interested in learning more about Sunrise careers and job openings, direct candidates to apply online or capture candidate information into the Applicant Tracking System to launch recruitment
  • Answer incoming telephone calls and resident calls within two to three rings with appropriate greeting and identification
  • Take complete messages with pertinent information and communicate messages to intended recipients
  • Offer a community overview to callers, determine appropriate contacts, and notify callers of transfers
  • Manage appointments for residents and family members such as hairdresser and transportation
  • Send get well cards to residents in hospital and order Memory Flower for residents who have passed away
  • Send sympathy cards to families and responsible parties
  • Order flowers and name plates for new residents prior to move in
  • Order guest meals for residents and family on move-in day
  • Create and maintain marketing and move-in packet inventory
  • Support Director of Sales by handling inquiry calls and encouraging interest in Sunrise
  • Assist with lead tracking database entry
  • Perform administrative duties related to the resident move-in process
  • Keep front desk and entry area neat and organized
  • Monitor Bistro for cleanliness, refreshments, and music
  • Ensure front desk coverage when away
  • Partner with community team for compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Practice safety procedures including use of PPE, fire extinguishers, and lockout tagout
  • Maintain resident and team member rosters and schedules for emergencies
  • Champion the Safe Leaving Program
  • Respond to emergencies per policy
  • Ensure guest and resident sign-in/out
  • Maintain high-risk elopement list
  • Maintain heightened awareness of entry and exit
  • Update resident phone list, roster, move-in/out register, and guest logs
  • Prepare meal tickets and tally meal counts
  • Collect and process meal ticket money
  • Organize and distribute mail and newspapers
  • Display daily menu
  • Maintain resident credit forms
  • Assist with recruitment data entry and administrative duties
  • Monitor and order office supplies
  • Track and disperse paychecks
  • Participate actively as a team member working toward goals
