Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Oversee the community entry area for visitors, guests, and residents, extend a warm welcome and greeting, offer and provide beverages to visitors and guests, and ensure that the community safety protocols are in place
  • Contact the Director of Sales, Executive Director, or Department Coordinator to meet with prospective residents, families, or visitors and ensure wait times are minimal
  • Greet potential candidates interested in learning more about careers and job openings at Sunrise Senior Living and direct candidates to apply online or capture candidate information into the Applicant Tracking System
  • Answer incoming telephone calls and resident calls promptly with the appropriate community greeting message and identification
  • Take complete messages with pertinent information and communicate messages to the intended recipient
  • Offer and provide a community overview to callers, determine the correct person to forward the call to, and notify callers who they are being transferred to
  • Manage appointments for residents and family members such as hairdresser and transportation
  • Send get well cards to residents in the hospital and sympathy cards to families of residents who have passed away
  • Order flowers, nameplates, and guest meals for new residents prior to and on the day of move-in
  • Create and maintain marketing and move-in packet inventory
  • Assist with Customer Relationship Management lead tracking database entry
  • Keep front desk and entry area neat and organized
  • Regularly check and maintain the Bistro area including refreshments and cleanliness
  • Ensure music is playing throughout the day
  • Support community compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and risk management programs
  • Maintain emergency rosters and champion the Safe Leaving Program
  • Respond to emergencies in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Ensure all guests and residents sign in and out appropriately
  • Update resident phone lists, move-in and move-out registers, and guest sign-in logs
  • Prepare and account for meal tickets and collect money as per internal business controls
  • Organize and distribute mail and newspapers
  • Post and display daily menus
  • Assist with recruitment data entry and office supply monitoring
  • Track and disperse team member paychecks
  • Participate actively as a committed team member working toward team goals
  • Maintain compliance with required training and perform other duties as assigned.
