Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • one to three years related experience and/or training
  • basic First Aid and CPR certification where required
  • successful completion of all Atria specified training programs
  • able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • ability to write simple correspondence
  • ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
  • able to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s
  • able to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
  • able to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
  • able to work various schedules and shifts as needed
  • able to operate telephone, emergency call system, monitoring board or beeper, photocopier

Job Duties

  • Serves as point of contact for all resident requests and telephone calls except those of an emergency nature
  • coordinates services for residents and their family members
  • maintains extremely high standards of customer service
  • answers questions regarding local stores, attractions and services
  • ensures that the lobby area and first floor common areas and restrooms are clean and welcoming
  • coordinates the community's transportation schedule
  • serves as a liaison between the dining room and residents
  • may supervise the front desk reception staff and drivers
  • may drive company vehicle from community to social and other various destinations
  • may perform other duties as assigned
