Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • one to three years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • basic First Aid and CPR certification where required
  • able to read and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence
  • ability to write simple correspondence
  • able to present information effectively in individual and small group settings
  • able to perform basic arithmetic operations
  • able to follow detailed but straightforward instructions
  • problem-solving skills in standardized situations
  • able to operate telephones, emergency call systems, monitoring boards, beepers, and photocopiers
  • flexible to work various schedules and shifts
  • successful completion of Atria specified training programs

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • one to three years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • basic First Aid and CPR certification where required
  • able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • ability to write simple correspondence
  • ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
  • able to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
  • able to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
  • ability to deal with problems involving few concrete variables in standardized situations
  • able to operate telephone, emergency call system, monitoring board or beeper, photocopier
  • able to work various schedules and shifts as needed
  • must successfully complete all Atria specified training programs

Job Duties

  • Serves as point of contact for all resident requests and telephone calls except those of an emergency nature
  • coordinates services for residents and their family members including dry cleaning, grocery and drug store delivery, dinner reservations, beauty parlor services, theater and movie tickets, and transportation services
  • maintains extremely high standards of customer service including meeting with all new residents and family members within 48 hours of arrival to explain concierge services and tracking concerns
  • answers questions regarding local stores, attractions and services
  • ensures that the lobby area and first floor common areas and restrooms are clean and welcoming including ordering fresh floral arrangements and maintaining appropriate background music
  • coordinates the community's transportation schedule including medical appointments and Engage Life outings
  • serves as liaison between the dining room and residents including accepting guest meal reservations and managing RSVP lists
  • may supervise front desk reception staff and drivers and provide coverage as needed
  • may drive company vehicle from community to social and other destinations
  • performs other duties as assigned
