Job Requirements
- Completed high school diploma or GED
- one year security experience or BA in Criminal Justice or related field or honorable military service
- ability to work flexible hours including over 40 hours per week and any day of the week
- physical ability to sit, stand, walk for variable amounts of time
- ability to lift or move objects up to 25 pounds
- visual acuity including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
- ability to perform under pressure and maintain alertness
- good communication skills
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Qualifications
- Completed high school diploma or GED
- experience in both independent work and interacting with the public preferred
- one year security experience or BA in Criminal Justice or related field or honorable military service
- some sites may require additional experience or certifications
Job Duties
- Conduct interior and exterior patrols
- monitor CCTV
- respond to emergency situations such as fire alarms or medical emergencies
- monitor for suspicious activity and threats to property and occupants
- receive phone calls and dispatch responses timely based on priority
- maintain detailed activity logs
- complete detailed incident and medical reports
- maintain package operations
- answer phones with positive spirit
- effectively communicate with residents and management
