Job Requirements

  • High School degree or GED
  • Proven customer service experience
  • Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office and Sunrise applications
  • Ability to learn new software applications

Job Duties

  • Oversee the community entry area for visitors, guests, and residents, extend a warm welcome and greeting, offer and provide beverages to visitors and guests, and ensure community safety protocols are in place
  • Contact the Director of Sales, Executive Director, or Department Coordinator to meet with prospective residents, families, or visitors and ensure wait times are minimal
  • Greet potential candidates interested in learning more about Sunrise careers and job openings, direct candidates to apply online or capture candidate information in Applicant Tracking System
  • Answer incoming telephone and resident calls promptly with appropriate greeting and identification
  • Take complete messages with pertinent information and communicate to intended recipients
  • Offer and provide community overview to callers and direct calls to the appropriate parties
  • Manage appointments for residents and family members such as hairdresser and transportation
  • Send get well and sympathy cards to residents and families, order Memory Flower for deceased residents
  • Order flowers and name plates for new residents prior to move-in
  • Order guest meals for resident and family on move-in day
  • Create and maintain marketing and move-in packet inventory
  • Support Director of Sales with inquiry calls and customer relationship management database entry
  • Keep desk and entry area neat and organized
  • Maintain Bistro cleanliness, stock fresh coffee, fruit, popcorn, and other snacks, maintain and clean popcorn machine
  • Keep music playing throughout the day
  • Ensure team member coverage at front desk during absences
  • Partner with community team to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and promote risk management programs
  • Practice safety procedures including PPE, fire extinguishers, Safety Data Sheets, and Lockout Tagout
  • Maintain resident and team member rosters and schedules for emergency procedures
  • Champion Safe Leaving Program by ensuring resident safety and appropriate sign-in/out of guests and residents
  • Maintain a high-risk elopement list with photographs at front desk
  • Update resident phone list, move-in/out registers, and guest sign-in logs daily
  • Prepare meal tickets and tally meal counts for Dining Service Coordinator
  • Collect and account for meal ticket money in accordance with procedures
  • Organize and distribute mail and newspapers
  • Post daily menu on Menu Board
  • Maintain resident forms for miscellaneous credits
  • Assist with data entry and administrative duties related to recruitment
  • Monitor and order office supplies
  • Track and disperse team member paychecks
  • Participate actively in team meetings and engagement initiatives
  • Maintain compliance with required training and perform other duties as assigned
