Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • experience in customer service
  • proficiency with computer applications including Microsoft Office and database systems
  • ability to multi-task and handle multiple priorities effectively
  • strong communication skills
  • willingness to comply with safety and risk management protocols
  • ability to work as part of a team
  • must pass pre-employment drug test and physical evaluation
  • Covid-19 and influenza vaccination in accordance with applicable laws
  • valid driver's license if operating Sunrise vehicle

Job Qualifications

  • High school degree or GED
  • proven customer service experience and skills
  • proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel) and Sunrise applications

Job Duties

  • Oversee the community entry area for visitors, guests, and residents, extending a warm welcome and greeting, offering and providing beverages to visitors and guests, and ensuring community safety protocols are in place
  • Contact the Director of Sales, Executive Director, or Department Coordinator to meet with prospective residents, families, or visitors and ensure minimal wait times
  • Greet potential candidates interested in Sunrise careers and direct them to apply online or capture candidate information into the Applicant Tracking System
  • Answer incoming telephone calls and resident calls within two to three rings, using appropriate community greeting messages and identification
  • Take complete messages with pertinent information and communicate to the intended recipient
  • Offer and provide a community overview to callers, determine appropriate departments for transfer, and notify callers of the transfer
  • Manage appointments for residents and family members such as hairdresser and transportation
  • Send get well cards to residents in hospital and sympathy cards to families as appropriate
  • Order flowers and name plates for new residents prior to move-in
  • Order guest meals for residents and families on move-in day
  • Create and maintain marketing and move-in packet inventory
  • Support Director of Sales by handling initial inquiry calls to encourage interest in Sunrise
  • Assist with CRM lead tracking database entry
  • Perform administrative duties related to resident move-in process
  • Maintain desk and front entry area organization
  • Monitor and maintain Bistro cleanliness and stock beverages and snacks
  • Keep music playing throughout the day
  • Ensure coverage of the front desk when stepping away
  • Partner with the community team to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and risk management policies
  • Practice safety procedures including PPE usage, fire extinguishers, SDS, and Lockout Tagout
  • Maintain resident and team member rosters and current work schedules for emergencies
  • Champion Safe Leaving Program by ensuring proper sign-in/out procedures and resident monitoring
  • Update resident phone lists, move-in/out registers, guest and sign-in logs
  • Prepare meal tickets and tally meal sheets
  • Collect and process meal ticket money according to business procedures
  • Organize and distribute mail
  • Collect and distribute newspapers
  • Post daily menu on menu board
  • Maintain resident credit forms
  • Assist with recruitment process through data entry and administrative support
  • Monitor and order office supplies
  • Track and disperse team member paychecks
  • Participate actively in team meetings and engagement programs
  • Commit to serving residents through Principles of Service
  • Attend required trainings and maintain compliance to meet Sunrise standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned
