Job Requirements

  • Associate's degree and one year of administrative experience or High School Diploma and three years of administrative experience
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service and effective communication
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to interpret and implement guidelines
  • Capacity to coach and train staff
  • Adaptability to fast-changing environments and protocols
  • Must successfully clear background investigation
  • Completion of pre-employment physical with medical clearance
  • Submission of three written references
  • Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination requirements per Department of Health
  • Ability to handle exposure to infectious diseases and emergency situations
  • Willingness to work irregular hours and under pressure

Job Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or equivalent required
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Strong communication abilities
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to interpret health guidelines and act accordingly
  • Experience coaching or training staff
  • Willingness to adapt quickly to changes in processes and protocols
  • Preferred experience in infection control
  • Experience with reporting to responsible staff members

Job Duties

  • Courteously greets all visitors and employees upon arrival to the facility
  • Educates visitors and employees on testing and protocols in accordance with Department of Health guidelines
  • Assists all visitors with screening upon entry into the facility and facilitates mandatory testing as required by DOH
  • Conducts temperature checks on all visitors and employees ensuring temperatures are within normal limits
  • Collaborates with IT staff for maintenance of electronic screening equipment
  • Stocks and monitors supply levels of PPE and testing materials
  • Maintains accurate records of visitation and testing data using established tracking systems
  • Provides PPE to visitors and employees based on COVID status of units or residents
  • Maintains employee vaccine sign-up sheets and assists with vaccine facilitation
  • Responds to inquiries from visitors and employees courteously and efficiently
  • Uses de-escalation techniques during difficult interactions
  • Politely denies access to those who do not meet screening requirements
  • Appropriately escalates issues to supervisors in a timely manner
  • Answers telephones promptly and courteously
  • Organizes and maintains cleanliness of the Health Information Desk screening area
  • Assists with training new staff members
  • Facilitates wayfinding and escorts residents and visitors as necessary
