Job Requirements

Applicants should possess awareness and sensitivity towards issues surrounding AIDS, mental health, and substance use
Experience in human services and crisis intervention is essential
Candidates must have a background in providing behavioral health services to LGBTQ+ youth of color and their allies
Candidates should either have certification in CPR/First Aid or be willing to participate in training
Knowledge of substance use disorders, HIV/STI, and related public health and social service topics is required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary
Candidates should demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team
A strong commitment to social justice and principles of cultural responsiveness is expected

Availability for evening and weekend work is required
Ability to work independently in an unsupervised setting
Background and driving record checks will be performed

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

Monitor and direct visitors, maintain a visitor sign-in log, and assist residents entering and leaving the building
Coordinate emergency and non-emergency medical transportation for residents
Provide wake-up calls for residents' medical appointments when needed
Accept deliveries of medications, document receipt and ensure proper delivery to residents
Monitor and document behaviors related to mental health and addiction symptoms
Assist residents in maintaining their tenancy by providing necessary interventions
Contact property manager or building superintendent regarding physical plant issues such as plumbing and electricity
Respond to emergencies by contacting police, fire department, BEST team, ambulance or paging program Case Manager, Director or Property Manager
Administer CPR/first aid if necessary
Log and report all incidents and unusual events
Communicate closely with direct care staff about ongoing events and issues
Provide regular written reports to Program Director and attend all required meetings
