Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- less than one year related experience or training
- knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos
- strong communication skills
- ability to interact empathetically with residents, families, and visitors
- ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- ability to perform light housekeeping duties
- ability to work as part of a team
- comply with attendance and call off policies
- adhere to dress code
- ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
- ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally

Job Duties
- Speaks to and interacts with residents, families, and visitors while showing empathy, kindness, compassion, and respect
- answers phone with a welcoming and inviting attitude
- assists in scheduling new hires for review and completion of new hire paperwork
- assists the Business Office Manager when needed
- receives and routes incoming and outgoing mail
- types all correspondence as requested
- responds promptly and courteously to resident requests including phone calls and inquiries from families and visitors
- greets families and visitors and introduces them to appropriate department heads
- answers questions to prospects regarding the community in absence of the Sales Director
- communicates effectively in a language each resident understands
- ensures residents or responsible parties sign residents out when leaving the community
- follows written and verbal instructions
- practices good body mechanics and safe working habits
- observes and reports safety hazards promptly
- knows each resident and family member by name
- follows established policies and procedures in emergency situations
- works as a team player with associates and management
- demonstrates positive and respectful attitudes about work issues, policies, and procedures
- complies with attendance and call off policy
- participates in trainings and mandatory meetings
- adheres to dress code policies
- refrains from discussing resident care with families and visitors, referring inquiries to supervisors
- complies with HIPAA regulations
- assists in training new employees when necessary
- takes initiative and offers solutions
- undertakes special projects beyond regular duties
- performs housekeeping and laundry duties to maintain cleanliness
- assists residents in the dining room if needed
- performs all other reasonable duties as assigned
