Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of supervisory experience in food and beverage service
- ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and event days
- valid food handler or alcohol service certification if required by law
- ability to stand for extended periods
- ability to manage cash and basic POS operations
- excellent communication skills
- strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- ability to provide leadership and training
- commitment to excellent attendance
- legal age to serve alcohol where applicable
Job Qualifications
- At least 1-2 years experience in a supervisory capacity within a food and beverage environment
- ability to supervise others
- strong communication skills with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management, and guests
- capacity to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, and event-driven setting
- ability to speak, read, and write English
- possession of valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if required
- ability to handle cash accurately
- basic math skills related to POS transactions, cash reconciliation, and inventory management
Job Duties
- Ensure proper set-up of all concessions locations prior to doors including verifying opening inventory
- assign duties to concession workers and volunteers
- ensure sanitation standards are met
- verify each location is fully operational
- ascertain food production levels meet projected guest attendance
- assure proper cash handling procedures are followed
- provide oversight for smooth and efficient event execution
- train new and current employees on property procedures and best practices
- cover any open position to maintain company standards on speed of service and guest satisfaction
- assist with Premium Services operations and event needs
- ensure a safe work environment free from harassment and discrimination
- address safety concerns, potential hazards, accidents, or incidents promptly
- provide ongoing assistance, training, and mentoring to event staff and volunteers
- promote a positive, enthusiastic, and cooperative workplace
- lead by example and provide constructive feedback
- obtain knowledge of all concession locations including geography, equipment, evacuation procedures, and facility access
- supervise service of beverages including alcoholic beverages and verify age requirements
- record guests' orders and relay them to the kitchen via POS system
- observe guest needs and determine meal completion
- compute meal costs, accept payments, and provide change
- recommend dishes and explain menu items
- maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards
- maintain excellent attendance
- ensure equipment is operable and clean before events
- recognize and manage visibly intoxicated guests
- enforce company policies and procedures
- demonstrate excellent human resources skills in employee relations, coaching, counseling, and paperwork completion
- assist management with training, inventory, and special events
- perform all other duties assigned by managers and supervisors
