Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • at least 1-2 years of supervisory experience in food and beverage service
  • valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if required by state or federal regulations
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • excellent attendance record
  • ability to communicate effectively in English
  • ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to concessions work
  • ability to handle cash and operate POS systems
  • commitment to safety and harassment-free work environment
  • ability to lead and mentor staff and volunteers
  • knowledge of basic math for transaction handling
  • willingness to adapt in a fast-paced, event-driven atmosphere

Job Qualifications

  • At least 1-2 years experience working in a supervisory capacity in a food and beverage environment
  • ability to supervise the work of others
  • ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff, and guests in a clear, business-like, and respectful manner
  • ability to speak, read, and write in English
  • ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
  • possess a valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if required by state or federal regulations
  • ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly
  • ability to calculate basic math functions related to POS credit transactions and product inventory

Job Duties

  • Ensure proper set-up of all concessions locations prior to doors
  • provide a high level of oversight and operational expertise resulting in the smooth, efficient, and profitable execution of events
  • train new and current employees regarding property procedures and best practices
  • cover or back up any open position to ensure location is fully operational and company standards on speed of service and guest satisfaction are met
  • ensure the work environment is safe and free from harassment or discrimination and immediately address all safety concerns, hazards, accidents, or incidents
  • provide ongoing assistance, training, and mentoring to event staff and volunteers and promote a positive, enthusiastic, and cooperative workplace environment
  • obtain working knowledge of all concession locations including geographical locations, equipment, evacuation procedures, and facility access
  • supervise the service of beverages including alcoholic beverages and verify guests' age
  • assist in recording guest orders and relaying them to the kitchen via P.O.S system
  • observe guests for additional requests and meal completion
  • compute meal cost and present guests with the check
  • recommend dishes and explain menu items
  • maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas
  • meet company attendance standards
  • assure location equipment is operable and clean before events
  • recognize and manage visibly intoxicated guests
  • enforce company policies
  • practice excellent human resources skills including employee relations and corrective action
  • assist management with training, inventory, and special events
  • perform all other duties as assigned by managers and supervisors
