Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1-2 years supervisory experience in food and beverage service
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must possess or be able to obtain required food handling and alcohol service certifications
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks associated with event work
- Excellent attendance record
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Job Qualifications
- At least 1-2 years experience in a supervisory role within a food and beverage environment
- Ability to supervise others effectively
- Strong communication skills with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management, and guests
- Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced event-driven environment
- Possession of a valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if required
- Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly
- Ability to perform basic math functions related to POS transactions, cash reconciliation, and inventory
Job Duties
- Ensure proper set-up of all concessions locations prior to doors including verifying opening inventory and assigning duties
- Provide a high level of oversight and operational expertise for smooth, efficient, and profitable event execution
- Train new and current employees on property procedures and best practices
- Cover or back-up any open position to maintain full operational status and meet company standards for speed of service and guest satisfaction
- Ensure a safe work environment free from harassment or discrimination and promptly address safety concerns
- Provide ongoing assistance, training, and mentoring to event staff and volunteers while promoting a positive workplace
- Obtain working knowledge of all concession locations including geography, equipment, and evacuation procedures
- Supervise the service of beverages including checking IDs for alcohol sales
- Assist in recording guest orders and relaying to kitchen using P.O.S. system
- Observe guests to respond to requests and determine when meals are completed
- Compute meal costs, present checks, accept payments and provide change
- Recommend menu items and explain ingredients or preparation methods
- Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas
- Demonstrate excellent attendance
- Assure concession equipment is operable and clean prior to events
- Identify and address visibly intoxicated guests appropriately
- Enforce all company policies and procedures
- Practice excellent HR skills including employee relations, corrective action, coaching, and counseling
- Assist management with projects including training, inventory, and special events
- Perform all other duties assigned by managers and supervisors
