Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1-2 years of supervisory experience in food and beverage
  • Valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if required
  • Ability to work event schedules including evenings and weekends
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to manage and mentor employees and volunteers
  • Ability to maintain excellent attendance
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced, team environment
  • Ability to handle cash and perform basic math functions
  • Knowledge of safety and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

  • At least 1-2 years’ experience in a supervisory capacity in food and beverage
  • Ability to supervise the work of others
  • Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with employees, management, and guests
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
  • Possess valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if required
  • Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly
  • Ability to perform basic math related to POS transactions and inventory

Job Duties

  • Ensure proper set-up of all concessions locations prior to doors
  • Provide oversight and operational expertise resulting in smooth, efficient and profitable event execution
  • Train new and current employees on property procedures and best practices
  • Cover and back-up any open position to assure full operation and meet company standards for speed of service and guest satisfaction
  • Ensure workplace safety, address safety concerns and relay issues to management
  • Provide ongoing assistance, training, and mentoring to event staff and volunteers
  • Supervise the service of beverages including checking guest IDs for alcohol purchase
  • Assist in recording guest orders and relaying to kitchen via POS system
  • Observe guests to respond to additional requests and determine meal completion
  • Compute meal cost, accept payments and provide change
  • Recommend dishes and explain menu items
  • Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas
  • Ensure location equipment is operable and clean before events
  • Recognize and manage visibly intoxicated guests appropriately
  • Enforce all company policies and procedures
  • Perform human resources duties including employee relations and corrective actions
  • Assist management with training, inventory, and special event projects
  • Perform other duties assigned by managers and supervisors
