Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1-2 years of supervisory experience in a food and beverage setting
  • Valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if applicable
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and event days
  • Ability to stand and move for extended periods
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory
  • Commitment to safety and guest service excellence

Job Qualifications

  • At least 1-2 years experience in a supervisory role in a food and beverage environment
  • Ability to supervise the work of others
  • Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management, and guests
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented, event-driven environment
  • Possess valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if required by law
  • Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly
  • Ability to perform basic math functions related to POS transactions and inventory

Job Duties

  • Ensure proper set-up of all concessions locations prior to doors including verifying opening inventory and assigning duties
  • Provide a high level of oversight and operational expertise resulting in smooth, efficient and profitable execution of events
  • Train new and current employees regarding property procedures and best practices
  • Willing to cover or back-up any open position to ensure location is fully operational and company standards are met
  • Ensure work environment is safe and free from harassment or discrimination and address safety concerns promptly
  • Provide ongoing assistance, training and mentoring to event staff and volunteers, promoting a positive and cooperative workplace environment
  • Obtain working knowledge of all concession locations including equipment, evacuation procedures, and facility access
  • Supervise service of beverages including alcoholic beverages, checking IDs to verify age
  • Record guest orders and relay orders to kitchen via POS system
  • Observe guests to respond to additional requests and determine when meals are completed
  • Compute meal costs, present checks, accept payments, and provide change
  • Recommend menu items and explain ingredients or preparation methods
  • Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas
  • Maintain excellent attendance and meet company standards
  • Ensure location equipment is operable and clean before events
  • Recognize and take action on visibly intoxicated guests
  • Enforce company policies and procedures
  • Handle HR duties including employee relations, corrective action, coaching, counseling, and paperwork
  • Assist management with projects including training, inventory, and special events
  • Perform other duties as assigned by managers and supervisors
