Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1-2 years of supervisory experience in a food and beverage setting
- Valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if applicable
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and event days
- Ability to stand and move for extended periods
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
- Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory
- Commitment to safety and guest service excellence
Job Qualifications
- At least 1-2 years experience in a supervisory role in a food and beverage environment
- Ability to supervise the work of others
- Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management, and guests
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented, event-driven environment
- Possess valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if required by law
- Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly
- Ability to perform basic math functions related to POS transactions and inventory
Job Duties
- Ensure proper set-up of all concessions locations prior to doors including verifying opening inventory and assigning duties
- Provide a high level of oversight and operational expertise resulting in smooth, efficient and profitable execution of events
- Train new and current employees regarding property procedures and best practices
- Willing to cover or back-up any open position to ensure location is fully operational and company standards are met
- Ensure work environment is safe and free from harassment or discrimination and address safety concerns promptly
- Provide ongoing assistance, training and mentoring to event staff and volunteers, promoting a positive and cooperative workplace environment
- Obtain working knowledge of all concession locations including equipment, evacuation procedures, and facility access
- Supervise service of beverages including alcoholic beverages, checking IDs to verify age
- Record guest orders and relay orders to kitchen via POS system
- Observe guests to respond to additional requests and determine when meals are completed
- Compute meal costs, present checks, accept payments, and provide change
- Recommend menu items and explain ingredients or preparation methods
- Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas
- Maintain excellent attendance and meet company standards
- Ensure location equipment is operable and clean before events
- Recognize and take action on visibly intoxicated guests
- Enforce company policies and procedures
- Handle HR duties including employee relations, corrective action, coaching, counseling, and paperwork
- Assist management with projects including training, inventory, and special events
- Perform other duties as assigned by managers and supervisors
