Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1-2 years' experience in a supervisory role within food and beverage service
- Valid ServSafe Manager or food handler certification
- Ability to stand for long periods (8-10 hours) during events
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure live event settings
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to pass background and reference checks
- Availability to work varied shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- At least 1-2 years' experience working in a supervisory capacity in a food and beverage environment
- Ability to supervise the work of others
- Ability to communicate clearly, respectfully and professionally with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff and guests
- Ability to speak, read and write in English
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
- Possess valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if required by state or federal regulations
- Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly
- Ability to calculate basic math functions related to cash and credit transactions, cash reconciliation and product inventory
- ServSafe Manager or food handler certification
Job Duties
- Ensure proper set-up of all concessions locations prior to doors including verifying opening inventory and assigning duties to concession workers
- Provide a high level of oversight and operational expertise resulting in smooth, efficient and profitable execution of events
- Train new and current employees regarding property procedure and best practices
- Cover/back-up any open position to assure location is fully operational and meet company standards for speed of service and guest satisfaction
- Ensure work environment is safe and free from harassment or discrimination and address safety concerns immediately
- Ensure event staff and volunteers are aware of workplace expectations and provide ongoing assistance, training and mentoring
- Obtain working knowledge of all concession locations including equipment, evacuation procedures, and facility access
- Supervise service of beverages including alcoholic beverages and verify guest IDs
- Record guest orders and relay to kitchen via P.O.S. system
- Observe guests for additional requests and determine when meal is completed
- Compute meal cost, present check, accept payments and provide change
- Recommend dishes and explain menu items and ingredients
- Maintain sanitation, health and safety standards in work areas
- Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality
- Ensure location equipment is operable and clean
- Recognize visibly intoxicated guests and take action to cut off alcohol
- Enforce all company policies and procedures
- Practice excellent human resource skills in employee relations, corrective action, coaching and counseling
- Assist management team with training, inventory and special event projects
- Perform all other duties as assigned by managers and supervisors
