Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience in food and beverage service
  • Valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if required by state or federal regulations
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Availability to work flexible hours including event nights and weekends
  • Strong customer service and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage and mentor staff in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and securely
  • Basic mathematical skills for cash reconciliation and inventory management

Job Qualifications

  • At least 1-2 years experience in a supervisory capacity in a food and beverage environment
  • Ability to supervise the work of others
  • Ability to communicate clearly with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff and guests
  • Ability to speak, read and write in English
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
  • Possess valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if required
  • Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly
  • Ability to calculate basic math functions related to POS transactions and inventory

Job Duties

  • Ensure proper set-up of all concessions locations prior to doors
  • Provide a high level of oversight and operational expertise resulting in the smooth, efficient and profitable execution of events
  • Training new and current employees regarding property procedure and best practices
  • Willing to cover or back-up any open position to assure location is fully operational and company standards pertaining to speed of service and guest satisfaction are met
  • Ensure work environment is safe and free from harassment or discrimination
  • Ensure event staff and volunteers are aware of workplace expectations
  • Ability to obtain working knowledge of all existing concession locations including equipment and evacuation procedures
  • Responsible for supervising the service of beverages including alcoholic beverages and verifying guest IDs
  • Assist in recording guest orders and relaying orders via POS system
  • Observe guests to respond to additional requests and determine when meals are completed
  • Compute cost of meals, accept payments and provide change
  • Recommend dishes and explain menu items
  • Maintain sanitation, health and safety standards
  • Assure equipment operability and cleanliness prior to events
  • Recognize and act upon visibly intoxicated guests
  • Enforce all company policies and procedures
  • Practice excellent human resources skills including employee relations, corrective action, coaching and counseling
  • Assist management with projects including training, inventory and special events
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by managers and supervisors
