Job Requirements

  • At least high school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1-2 years experience in supervisory role within food and beverage service
  • Ability to maintain excellent attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to work event schedules which may include evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if required by state or federal law
  • Ability to pass background checks and comply with company policies
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including standing for long periods and lifting inventory items
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Job Qualifications

  • At least 1-2 years’ experience working in a supervisory capacity in a food and beverage environment
  • Ability to supervise the work of others
  • Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff and guests
  • Ability to speak, read and write in English
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
  • Possess valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if required
  • Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly
  • Ability to calculate basic math functions related to POS transactions, cash reconciliation and product inventory

Job Duties

  • Ensure proper set-up of all concessions locations prior to doors
  • Provide a high level of oversight and operational expertise resulting in the smooth, efficient and profitable execution of events
  • Train new and current employees with regard to property procedure and best practices
  • Willing to cover or back-up any open position to assure location is fully operational and company standards pertaining to speed of service and guest satisfaction are met
  • Ensure work environment is safe and free from harassment or discrimination and immediately address all safety concerns, potential hazards, accidents or incidents
  • Ensure event staff and volunteers are aware of workplace expectations and provide on-going assistance, training and mentoring
  • Obtain working knowledge of all existing concession locations including geographical locations, equipment, evacuation procedures, adjacent employee and guest areas and facility access
  • Supervise the service of beverages to guests including alcoholic beverages and verify guests' ID to comply with minimum age requirements
  • Assist in recording guest orders and relaying orders to kitchen via POS system
  • Observe guests to respond to additional requests and determine when meal is completed
  • Compute cost of meals and handle payments accurately
  • Recommend menu items and explain preparation details
  • Maintain sanitation, health and safety standards in work areas
  • Ensure location equipment is operable and clean prior to start of event
  • Recognize and take action when guests are visibly intoxicated
  • Enforce all company policies and procedures
  • Practice excellent human resources skills regarding employee relations, corrective action, coaching and counseling
  • Assist management team with projects including training, inventory and special events
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by managers and supervisors
