Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1-2 years supervisory experience in food and beverage service
- Valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if applicable
- Reliable attendance and availability to work scheduled events
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during events
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Basic math proficiency
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as event schedule dictates
Job Qualifications
- At least 1-2 years experience working in a supervisory capacity in a food and beverage environment
- Ability to supervise the work of others
- Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with employees, volunteers, management, and guests
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
- Possess valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if required by state or federal regulations
- Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly
- Ability to calculate basic math functions related to POS transactions and inventory
Job Duties
- Ensure proper set-up of all concessions locations prior to doors including verifying opening inventory, assigning duties to concession workers, ensuring sanitation standards are met, verifying full operational status, and ascertaining food production levels have been met
- Provide a high level of oversight and operational expertise to ensure smooth, efficient, and profitable event execution
- Train new and current employees and volunteers on property procedures and best practices
- Cover or back-up any open position to assure full operational status and adherence to company standards for speed and guest satisfaction
- Ensure work environment is safe, free from harassment or discrimination, immediately address safety concerns and hazards, and report issues to management
- Provide ongoing assistance, training, mentoring, and positive reinforcement to event staff and volunteers promoting a cooperative workplace
- Obtain working knowledge of all concession locations including layout, equipment, evacuation procedures, and facility access
- Supervise service of beverages including alcoholic drinks, verify guest IDs for age compliance
- Assist with recording guest orders and relaying orders to the kitchen via POS system
- Observe guests for additional requests and completion of meals
- Compute meal costs, accept payments, provide change
- Recommend menu items and explain ingredients and preparation methods
- Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards
- Ensure equipment operability and cleanliness prior to events
- Recognize visibly intoxicated guests and take appropriate action
- Enforce company policies and procedures
- Exhibit excellent HR skills including employee relations, coaching, counseling, and documentation
- Assist management with projects including training, inventory, and special events
- Perform all other duties as assigned by managers and supervisors
