Job Requirements
- Associate's degree or higher
- 3-5 years' relevant experience
- proficient in computer applications including POS systems
- experience training employees
- strong inventory management skills
- ability to communicate professionally and clearly
- ability to make decisions under pressure
- ability to work in team-oriented, fast-paced settings
- knowledge of sanitation, food handling and alcohol service policies
- basic math proficiency related to cash handling
- maintain highest standards of integrity and professionalism
Job Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Culinary Management, Business Management, or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in concessions or food & beverage management
- proficiency with Microsoft Office, POS systems and timekeeping software
- experienced in training employees and volunteers
- advanced knowledge of inventory procedures and controls
- skilled in ordering for high-volume venues
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to make sound business decisions quickly and under pressure
- team-oriented and able to work in fast-paced, event-driven environments
- thorough knowledge of sanitation, food preparation and alcohol service policies
- basic math skills for cash and inventory reconciliation
- adherence to high standards of integrity, professionalism, ethics and confidentiality
- preferred certification in national food service sanitation and alcohol service training courses
Job Duties
- Manage, develop and mentor part time concessions staff including initiation of employee discipline
- document employee performance and attendance issues per company policy
- ensure proper set-up of concessions locations before events including inventory verification and staff assignments
- oversee sanitation standards and full operational readiness of all locations
- provide operational expertise for efficient, profitable event execution
- manage inventory, product ordering and high volume sales
- run concession operations before, during and after events
- handle staff scheduling, check-in, equipment inspection, POS monitoring and troubleshooting
- resolve guest complaints
- train new and current employees
- cover any open positions as needed
- oversee concessions supervisors, managers, cooks, and cashiers
- enforce compliance with State, Federal and OVG policies including alcohol and food safety
- report any compliance issues immediately
- complete post-event evaluations and reporting
- ensure a safe, harassment-free work environment
- address safety issues promptly
- provide ongoing training and mentoring to staff and volunteers
- maintain knowledge of concession locations, equipment and procedures
