Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Associate's degree in Culinary Management, Business Management, or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in concessions or food and beverage management
  • Experience with POS and inventory management systems
  • Excellent attendance and availability to work evenings and weekends
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including event-driven hours
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations
  • Ability to supervise and train staff effectively
  • Ability to manage inventory and product ordering
  • Ability to resolve guest complaints and operational challenges
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Able to maintain a safe and harassment-free work environment
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Job Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or higher in Culinary Management, Business Management, or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in concessions management, food and beverage management, or related field
  • Degree in concessions supervision or related area
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office, POS systems, and timekeeping software
  • Experience in training employees and volunteers
  • Advanced inventory procedures and controls knowledge
  • Experience ordering products for high-volume venues
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with employees, management, and guests
  • Ability to make sound operational decisions under pressure
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, team-oriented, event-driven environments
  • Thorough knowledge of sanitation, food preparation, alcohol service, and safety standards
  • Basic math skills related to POS transactions, cash reconciliation and inventory
  • High standards of integrity, professionalism and confidentiality
  • Nationally recognized food service sanitation certification preferred
  • Nationally recognized alcohol service training preferred.

Job Duties

  • Manage, develop and mentor part-time concessions staff including disciplining employees as needed
  • Complete documentation of employee performance and attendance issues
  • Ensure proper set-up of all concessions locations prior to opening
  • Verify opening inventory, assign duties, ensure sanitation standards are met and locations are operational
  • Provide operational oversight for efficient and profitable event execution
  • Oversee inventory, order product, and manage high-volume sales
  • Manage concessions operations before, during and after events including scheduling, check-in, equipment inspection, POS monitoring, guest complaint resolution, training, food production, clean-up, and reporting
  • Train new and current employees on property procedures and best practices
  • Cover any open position to ensure operational standards
  • Provide direction to supervisors, stand managers, cooks, and cashiers
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal and OVG policies including alcohol and food safety
  • Report alcohol service or compliance issues promptly
  • Complete post-event evaluations and reporting
  • Maintain a safe work environment free from harassment and discrimination
  • Address safety concerns and relay issues to management
  • Promote positive and cooperative workplace environment
  • Obtain knowledge of concession locations, equipment, evacuation procedures and facility access.
