Job Requirements

1-3 years experience working in similar setting
Outgoing personality and ability to interact professionally with high profile guests
Ability to communicate effectively
Problem solving skills
Decision making ability with little guidance
Must be able to work afternoons evenings and weekends including all Hawks home games

Job Qualifications

Stand for long periods of time and be able to actively engage physically with guests
Excellent communication skills
Proven runner or bar back experience in a fast-paced environment
Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills
Ability to build rapport and create a welcoming atmosphere for guests
Demonstrate physical stamina and agility required to be mobile for long periods throughout the day
Lift and move materials and equipment up to 50 pounds

Job Duties

Retrieve all needed food items from kitchen and deliver to bar area
Retrieve all needed beverage items and garnishes from storerooms and deliver to bar area
Set up bottles on bar with top shelf liquor on back shelf
Ensure beer taps are working properly
Place appropriate bar snacks on counter and keep supplies stocked throughout shift
Assist in opening and closing side work as assigned
Bus tables in bar area
Help ensure cleanliness and tidiness of bar or lounge areas including washing work tables, walls, refrigerators, floors under equipment, sweeping and mopping service areas
Ensure rubbish is removed from all receptacles
Prepare and serve beverages as needed to assist bartender
Perform other duties as assigned
