Job Requirements
- Must be at least 20 years of age and legally eligible to serve alcohol in the state of Kentucky
- ability to stand for extended periods and lift or push up to 50lbs
- availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- a valid Fayette County Food Handler's License is required for all food and beverage staff and must be obtained prior to the first scheduled shift
- a Kentucky Horse Racing Commission license is required for all track workers and will be provided upon hire by Keeneland
Job Qualifications
- Previous bartending experience in a concession, event, or hospitality setting preferred
- strong knowledge of cocktail recipes, drink presentation, and bar operations
- excellent customer service and communication skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- must be at least 20 years of age and legally eligible to serve alcohol in the state of Kentucky
- availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Greet guests promptly and courteously
- prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with standardized recipes and venue policies
- practice safe and responsible alcohol service in compliance with Kentucky state laws and Keeneland policies
- handle all transactions accurately using a Point-of-Sale (POS) system
- maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including stocking supplies, garnishes, and glassware
- monitor guest behavior and respond appropriately to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience
- communicate effectively with concession and supervisory staff to coordinate service and resolve issues
- follow all sanitation and safety guidelines, including cleaning equipment and surfaces regularly
- perform opening and closing duties as assigned
