Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 20 years of age and legally eligible to serve alcohol in the state of Kentucky
  • ability to stand for extended periods and lift or push up to 50lbs
  • availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • a valid Fayette County Food Handler's License is required for all food and beverage staff and must be obtained prior to the first scheduled shift
  • a Kentucky Horse Racing Commission license is required for all track workers and will be provided upon hire by Keeneland

Job Qualifications

  • Previous bartending experience in a concession, event, or hospitality setting preferred
  • strong knowledge of cocktail recipes, drink presentation, and bar operations
  • excellent customer service and communication skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • must be at least 20 years of age and legally eligible to serve alcohol in the state of Kentucky
  • availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Greet guests promptly and courteously
  • prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with standardized recipes and venue policies
  • practice safe and responsible alcohol service in compliance with Kentucky state laws and Keeneland policies
  • handle all transactions accurately using a Point-of-Sale (POS) system
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including stocking supplies, garnishes, and glassware
  • monitor guest behavior and respond appropriately to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience
  • communicate effectively with concession and supervisory staff to coordinate service and resolve issues
  • follow all sanitation and safety guidelines, including cleaning equipment and surfaces regularly
  • perform opening and closing duties as assigned
