Job Requirements
- Must possess a valid Fayette County Food Handler’s License obtained before the first scheduled shift
- must obtain Kentucky Horse Racing Commission license upon hiring
- must be at least 20 years old and legally permitted to serve alcohol in Kentucky
- ability to stand for long periods and lift or push up to 22.7 kilograms (50 pounds)
- availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- experience in bartending preferred but not required
- excellent communication skills
- strong knowledge of beverage preparation and safe service practices
Job Qualifications
- Experience as a bartender in concessions events or hospitality is preferred
- must be at least 20 years old and legally eligible to serve alcohol in Kentucky
- strong knowledge of cocktail recipes beverage presentation and bar operations
- excellent customer service and communication skills
- ability to work in fast-paced and high-volume environments
Job Duties
- Greet customers promptly and courteously
- prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standardized recipes and company policies
- practice safe and responsible alcoholic beverage service in compliance with Kentucky state laws and Keeneland policies
- accurately manage all transactions using a point-of-sale system
- maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area including storage of supplies garnishes and glassware
- monitor customer behavior and respond appropriately to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience
- communicate effectively with concession and supervisory staff to coordinate service and resolve issues
- follow all sanitation and safety standards including regular cleaning of equipment and surfaces
- perform opening and closing duties as assigned
