Job Requirements

Prior food service experience preferred
Meet age requirements depending on alcohol service level (any age for sealed container handling related to storage and cleaning, 18 or older for retail sales of sealed containers, 19 or older for handling or sale of open beer and wine, 21 or older for selling mixed beverages or liquor over the bar)
Basic working knowledge of food and beverage service including cooking and food preparation
Basic math skills and ability to accurately count and handle money
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with employees and the public
Ability to speak and write clearly, concisely and persuasively using correct grammar, spelling and punctuation
Ability to perform work with a high degree of accuracy and organization
Ability to work cooperatively with others
Ability to perform with considerable independence and initiative
Must be available to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Prior food service experience preferred
Basic working knowledge of food and beverage service including cooking and food preparation

Job Duties

Provide outstanding customer service to all customers and the general public
Prepare, cook, and serve food in a prompt, courteous and timely manner
Operate a point of sale (POS) system and account for daily sales while following cash control procedures
Sell and serve alcoholic beverages according to Ohio Department of Liquor Control regulations and standards
Follow all health and safety requirements of the Cuyahoga County Health Department and state regulations
Ensure the serving area is clean, well-organized, and presentable in compliance with Board of Health Standards
Perform inventory control including weekly inventory sheets and daily restocking of product and supplies
Perform opening and closing procedures as directed
Assist patrons in the safe use of equipment and areas and enforce rules related to safety, conduct, and equipment
Keep direct supervisor promptly informed of key or significant issues or concerns
Carry out duties in a safe and efficient manner to maintain a safe work environment
Greet all customers and answer questions, responding to inquiries or referring to appropriate staff
Perform related duties as assigned or apparent
