Job Requirements
- Three years experience as a manager in a convention center, large hotel, sports arena or thoroughbred racetrack setting
- Ability to lift or push a minimum of 50 pounds
- Frequently reaches, lifts, stoops, bends, lifts and cleans to maintain service and storage areas
- Assist with receiving, loading and unloading deliveries
- Possible exposure to extreme temperatures, sharp objects, and diverse terrain
- Position requires being on foot and walking for several hours at a time
- Flexible availability including early mornings, nights, weekends, holidays and special events
- A valid Fayette County Food Handler's License prior to the first scheduled shift
- Kentucky Horse Racing Commission license provided upon hire by Keeneland
Job Qualifications
- Three years experience as a manager in a convention center, large hotel, sports arena or thoroughbred racetrack setting
- Knowledge of food safety compliance and responsible alcohol service
- Ability to instruct employees on equipment use and menu preparation
- Strong delegation and leadership skills
- Ability to manage high-volume service periods effectively
Job Duties
- Supervise an area to be determined of up to 20 plus employees during race meets
- Complete knowledge of all concessions food and bar beverage menus
- Instruct on the proper use of all equipment and menu preparation
- Comply with all responsible alcohol service procedures and policies
- Adhere to cash handling and Micros guidelines
- Complete daily paperwork with accuracy
- Manage product merchandising techniques, quality and cost control including inventory
- Supervise setup and breakdown of stands and bars
- Ensure paperwork completion and submission such as stand sheets, beer count, ice cream count
- Confirm employees have cleaned their location and clocked out
- Ensure all equipment is powered off as needed
- Check for leaks and obstructions in hand sinks
- Assist with the cleanup of concession stands after race meets
