Job Requirements
- At least 18 years old
- Minimum two years of experience in food operations or related field or equivalent education and experience
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to obtain required certifications within specified time frames
- Ability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to 30 pounds daily with assistance for heavier loads
- Flexible work schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Regular onsite attendance
- Subject to office and outdoor environmental conditions
- Support customer service standards
- Ability to perform assigned duties safely
Job Qualifications
- Minimum two years of experience in food operations or related field
- Valid driver's license
- Possession or ability to obtain Illinois Food Protection Manager Certification within one month of hire
- Possession or ability to obtain Allergen Training Program Certification within one month of hire
- Possession or ability to obtain First Aid, CPR, and AED certification within two months of hire
- Skill in food preparation and management
- Capacity to make decisions based on customer service and fiscal constraints
- Ability to multitask, organize, and maintain attention to detail
- Knowledge of budget preparation, financial management, and fiscal control
- Working knowledge of computer software including point of sale systems
Job Duties
- Maintain and supervise all daily operations of the facilities
- Evaluate facility conditions and assist in the development, implementation, and review of facility operations
- Manage work of others including planning, assigning, scheduling, and reviewing work to ensure quality standards
- Hire, train, and develop staff
- Collaborate on discipline and performance reviews
- Coordinate facility schedules to ensure appropriate staffing and setup
- Purchase products and supplies based on forecasting and operational needs
- Manage property and equipment including initiating work order requests and repairs
- Maintain inventory of food and beverage supplies and enforce inventory controls
- Enforce sanitary practices for food handling and cleanliness
- Ensure proper food preparation and portion control
- Maintain records and prepare reports
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with residents, customers, vendors, and community partners
- Address customer inquiries promptly and professionally
- Adhere to health and safety regulations
- Demonstrate and support customer service standards
- Communicate budgetary requests as needed
- Cover concession and paddleboat shift lead roles when needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
