Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior supervisory experience in food and beverage preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication abilities
  • Must maintain excellent attendance
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Food handling certification if required by law
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Ability to ensure safety and compliance with company standards

Job Qualifications

  • At least 1-2 years experience working in a supervisory capacity in a food and beverage environment
  • Ability to supervise the work of others
  • Ability to communicate clearly, respectfully, and professionally with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management, and guests
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, and event-driven environment
  • Possession of a valid food handling certificate or service permit if required by state or federal regulations
  • Ability to perform basic math functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages related to POS transactions and inventory

Job Duties

  • Ensure proper set-up of an assigned concession location prior to doors
  • Set-up duties include verifying opening inventory, assigning duties to concession workers, ensuring sanitation standards are met, verifying operational readiness, and assessing food production levels
  • Provide oversight and operational expertise for smooth, efficient, and profitable event execution
  • Train new and current employees regarding property procedures and best practices
  • Cover or back-up any open position to ensure location is fully operational and company standards for speed of service and guest satisfaction are met
  • Ensure the work environment is safe and free from harassment or discrimination, addressing safety concerns, hazards, accidents, or incidents immediately
  • Provide ongoing assistance, training, and mentoring to event staff and volunteers to promote a positive and cooperative workplace
  • Obtain working knowledge of all concession locations including geographical locations, equipment, evacuation procedures, and facility access
  • Supervise the service of beverages including alcoholic beverages, verifying guest ID to comply with age requirements
  • Assist in recording guest orders, receiving payment, and distributing purchased items
  • Observe guests and respond to additional requests
  • Recommend menu items and explain ingredients or preparation methods
  • Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas
  • Demonstrate excellent attendance and reliability
  • Assure all equipment is operable and clean prior to events
  • Enforce company policies and procedures
  • Communicate with management regarding HR issues including employee relations, corrective actions, coaching, and counseling
  • Complete HR paperwork as needed
  • Perform all other duties assigned by managers and supervisors
