Job Requirements

  • must be at least 16 years of age (18 or older for roles involving alcohol service)
  • basic math skills related to cash handling, credit transactions, and inventory
  • excellent communication skills and ability to interact professionally and respectfully
  • ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented, event-driven environment
  • ability to speak, read, and write in English
  • ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds
  • reliable transportation and punctuality
  • availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays during race meets and events
  • valid Fayette County Food Handler's License required prior to first shift
  • Kentucky Horse Racing Commission license will be provided upon hire for track workers

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • receive guests with courtesy and provide friendly and professional service
  • process cash, card, and mobile payments accurately using a point-of-sale system
  • handle food and beverage orders swiftly, precisely, and efficiently
  • maintain menu item quality and production standards, ensuring freshness and proper storage
  • keep concession areas clean, organized, and well-stocked
  • maintain cleanliness of food preparation and service areas including workstations, utensils, and equipment
  • ensure compliance with all health, safety, and alcohol service regulations
  • count and reconcile cash drawers before and after each shift
  • communicate effectively with guests, team members, and supervisors to ensure smooth operations
  • assist in setting up and taking down concession areas including tasks assigned by supervisors
  • adhere to Keeneland Hospitality’s approved uniform and dress standards
