Job Requirements
- Must be 21 plus years of age
- Customer service skills required to answer guest questions and respond to guest complaints in a professional and courteous manner
- Communication skills to be able to deliver information in a clear and professional manner
- Has the ability to follow directions and complete tasks as directed by management with and without constant supervision. Must be receptive to coaching and feedback
- Must be punctual and responsible with the ability to consistently show up for scheduled shifts
- Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions including sun, rain, wind, and extreme heat or cold for extended periods. Job may require employees to be outside for the entirety of a shift
- Basic computer literacy to assist with guest check-in and assistance at and POS location
- Availability to work on nights and weekends
- IL BASSET certification

Job Duties
- Communicates with guests and other employees verbally and in possibly stressful situations to answer questions and provide clear direction and solutions with patience and tact
- Follows Local Operating Procedures, Standard Operating Procedures, and general safety regulations
- Answers basic questions regarding the operation of the park and ropes course
- Assists guests as they check-out, utilizing the point-of-sale system for both retail and food and beverage offerings
- Maintains knowledge of spirits, beer, and wine, ensuring an appealing and guest-ready bar area with outstanding service ability
- Maintains a knowledge of park offerings, amenities, and events, answering frequently asked questions
- Acts as an ambassador of The Forge, informing guests about adventure and entertainment experiences as well as the surrounding nature
- Assesses patrons and follows Dram shop law and state regulations in proper alcohol service
- Screens and assesses guests through observation and guest interaction
- Completes tasks such as cleaning and breakdown as directed
- Assists with event or concert check-in procedures
- May help with parking lot duties depending on event size
- Occasionally acts as traffic attendant for Boyer Road crossing
- Reports to food and beverage lead and managers, working closely with event staff to ensure clear communication and services to guests
- Shows good stewardship of park equipment, facilities, and product
