Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- basic math skills
- at least two years experience in manufacturing environment
- ability to lift 50 lb continuous for 1 hour
- ability to work in wet, humid, dusty environments
- ability to work with corrosive, caustic and acidic chemicals
- ability to use personal protective equipment
- ability to operate electric pallet jacks and drum hoists
- ability to connect and disconnect plumbing and processing equipment
- ability to perform manual and PLC controlled operations
- ability to complete detailed records accurately and timely
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- basic math skills
- basic knowledge of personal computers, including Windows
- SAP preferred
- at least two years experience in manufacturing environment
- experience in personal care or food related industry preferred
- prior packaging technician experience preferred
- previous working knowledge of PLC systems preferred
- ability to handle electric pallet jacks and drum hoists
- ability to use personal protective equipment effectively
- ability to connect and disconnect various plumbing systems
- ability to use overhead hoist system
Job Duties
- Exhibit team player qualities of cooperation and coordination
- professional interaction in all business contacts, all day, every day
- Present for work when scheduled is a mandatory function
- work hours may extend beyond normal business hours based upon workload
- Compliance to all company safety rules, procedures and guidelines
- Reporting of safety issues is mandatory
- Weigh and make batches with various types of scales and processing vessels using manual or PLC controls
- Transfer batches between processing and storage vessels using manual or PLC controls
- Perform cleaning of vessels and transfer plumbing manually or with automated CIP systems
- Perform transactions in SAP to issue raw materials and report finished batches
- Provide QC lab with batch samples for quality disposition
- Perform daily and specific housekeeping tasks as instructed
- Complete cleaning logs and batch records accurately and timely
- Troubleshoot equipment and processes as required
- Perform other duties as required
