Job Requirements

  • High school or equivalent education
  • Minimum 2 years cooking experience, preferably in a high-volume environment
  • Food handlers certification
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures such as freezers at -10F and kitchens at +110F
  • Ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to four hours
  • Ability to lift up to 45 lbs as needed
  • Ability to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs
  • Good communication skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language used in the workplace
  • Must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
  • Regular attendance and punctuality
  • Compliance with all company safety and security policies and procedures

Job Qualifications

  • High school or equivalent education
  • Minimum 2 years cooking experience, preferably high volume
  • Food handlers certification
  • Experience in using cutting tools, cookware and bakeware
  • Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods including grilling, baking, boiling
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Basic computer skills
  • Basic computational ability
  • Excellent leadership and customer relations skills
  • Detail oriented with outstanding organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and self-driven
  • Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers using patience, tact and diplomacy

Job Duties

  • Prepare food items for customers using a quality predetermined method in a timely and consistent manner
  • Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes using kitchen utensils and equipment such as blenders, mixers, grinders, slicers, and tenderizers
  • Operate large-volume cooking equipment like grills, deep-fat fryers, or griddles
  • Set up station with predetermined mise en place required to service all functions
  • Adjust thermostat controls to regulate temperature of ovens, boilers, grills, roasters, and steam kettles
  • Clean food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, and utensils
  • Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas
  • Verify that prepared food meets requirements for quality and quantity
  • Set up complimentary breakfast areas and manage necessary stock
  • Greet guests, assist and ensure proper access
  • Clean up after guests and maintain lounge cleanliness
  • Break down stations and restock supplies
  • Perform all other duties assigned by manager or supervisor
