- knowledge of U.S. Tariff Classification and relevant government agencies

- preferred but not required: experience in import/export/logistics/trade compliance or relevant education
- working knowledge of U.S. Tariff Classification and government agencies such as FDA, FWS, USDA
Job Duties
- Ensure the company's adherence to applicable U.S. and international laws and regulations related to importation and exportation of Claire's commodities
- resolve issues impacting the movement of Claire's goods across international borders including problem resolution with customs brokers
- support accuracy and integrity of commodity information across all company databases to demonstrate due diligence
- maintain written policies and procedures related to import-export operation procedures
- interface with other internal departments to provide guidance, education, and best practices for trade compliance processes relevant to the business
- support import-export or other trade-related audit activities
- perform additional duties as assigned
