Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 1 year of customer service experience preferred
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Windows, Word, Outlook and Excel preferred
  • Basic geography knowledge preferred
  • Detailed organizational skills
  • Solid communication skills
  • Ability to think and react quickly with urgency to time-sensitive problems
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Typing speed of at least 30 words per minute

Job Qualifications

  • LCB or Certified Customs Specialist preferred
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 1 year of customer service experience preferred
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Windows, Word, Outlook and Excel preferred
  • Basic geography knowledge preferred, including understanding locations of US States and Canadian Provinces and major cities
  • Detailed organizational skills
  • Solid communication skills - both verbal and written
  • Ability to think and react quickly with a sense of urgency to time-sensitive problem situations
  • Ability to remain calm during adverse conditions
  • Must be able to type a minimum of 30 words per minute

Job Duties

  • Research classification, ADCVD, PGA, 19 CFR issues as assigned
  • Troubleshoot entry questions, failures, rejects through research and communication with CBP ABI Representative
  • Write and submit Post Summary Corrections through ABI system or Protests through ACE Portal
  • Discuss, complete and submit surety bonds, approve and submit billing
  • Prepare shipper's insurance and approve and submit billing
  • Develop and implement reporting functions in the operating system to manage statement and entry related data
  • Perform other duties as assigned
