Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • formal culinary training or certification preferred
  • minimum of 3 years experience in pastry production
  • experience supervising kitchen staff
  • knowledge of inventory management
  • understanding of health and safety standards
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

  • Proven experience as a pastry chef or in a similar leadership role
  • proficiency in baking techniques and pastry preparation

Job Duties

  • Supervising, coaching, training, and scheduling pastry cooks
  • maintain standards and procedures to consistently conduct an accurate inventory
  • ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  • maintain a high level of cleanliness and safety in the work area
  • oversee production of baked goods, desserts, and pastries
  • develop new recipes and menu items
  • collaborate with other culinary and hotel staff to ensure seamless operations
