Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior experience in hospitality or beverage service preferred
- ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- knowledge of food and beverage service and alcoholic beverage regulations
- basic math skills
- manual dexterity
- effective communication skills
- ability to stand for extended periods
- ability to operate point of sale systems
- ability to maintain regular attendance
Job Qualifications
- Hotel experience preferred
- must communicate well with guests
- basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and alcoholic drinks
- basic math skills to operate cash register, make change, total checks, count bank, prepare cash drops
- manual dexterity to use knife for garnishes, pick up glassware and bottles, scoop ice, mix drinks, reach overhead
- ability to remember, recite and promote menu items
- ability to operate keyboard and point of sale system
- ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long periods
- ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- effective verbal and written communication skills
Job Duties
- Maintains proper and adequate set-up of the bar on a daily basis
- requisitions and stocks all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments and produce based on daily function projections
- maintains stock, cuts, and stores fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and perishables daily
- greets guests in a courteous and friendly manner
- promotes and documents orders for drinks
- mixes, garnishes, and presents drinks using standard recipes and portion control
- abides by all State, Federal and Corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages
- inputs orders into register at the point of sale and creates checks for all guests
- receives cash from guests, makes change, verifies charges, records transactions, and ensures vouchers are properly executed
- locks and stores all beverage, food, and equipment items
- deposits cash drops and secures bank
- complies with attendance rules and maintains regular availability
- performs other job-related duties as assigned
