Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in recreation, sports programming, or related field
  • Valid California driver’s license and insurability
  • Ability to pass background and reference checks
  • Ability to pass pre-employment medical exam including TB test
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
  • Must complete verification form for employment eligibility
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Experience working with Pee-Wee sports participants, general public, School Districts, and volunteers
  • Knowledge of sports programs with emphasis on nonprofit sports organizations
  • Experience with field allocations and scheduling
  • Ability to build, train, and develop a strong, effective team
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to customer service excellence
  • Excellent judgment and communication skills
  • Ability to organize and maintain accurate files and records
  • Demonstrated ethical, trustworthy, and respectful conduct
  • Ability to maintain strong working relationships internally and externally

Job Duties

  • Oversee development and implementation of Pee Wee sports programs, including scheduling, staffing, and facility coordination
  • Manage sports field allocations and collaborate with nonprofit organizations and sports committees
  • Supervise staff and volunteers, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations
  • Handle program budgets, tracking expenses, ordering supplies, and monitoring costs
  • Coordinate with community groups, schools, and external partners to promote programs and increase participation
  • Ensure safety and maintenance of sports facilities and equipment, enforcing policies and conducting site visits
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on program data and trends
  • Deliver customer service through effective communication and problem resolution
  • Participate in department meetings and support special events
  • Maintain professional knowledge through workshops and networking
