Job Requirements
- At least 48 units of college credit or related experience in education, youth development, or community services
- Preferably bilingual
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Access)
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Live scan fingerprint and background check required
- Proof of negative TB test within the last 2 years
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record for the past three years
- Must commute between sites
- First Aid, CPR, and AED certified or willing to obtain within 30 days
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects as necessary
- Ability to establish partnerships to meet site and program requirements
Job Qualifications
- Have at least 48 units of college credit from a two-year accredited college or related experience in education, youth development, or community services
- Preferably bilingual
- Knowledgeable in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and Access
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments
- Strong supervisory and communication skills
- Experience in community outreach and partnership building
- Certified or able to obtain First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications within 30 days
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects as required for program activities
- Ability to commute between sites
Job Duties
- Uphold ethical standards by serving the community with character, integrity, dignity, and professionalism
- Oversee and provide the Si Se Puede Community Center programs including the Afterschool Program and Resident Social Services ensuring compliance with site requirements
- Review lesson plans, prepare materials, take attendance, and conduct daily program overviews
- Enforce Afterschool Program behavior policies and safety procedures
- Create and distribute monthly newsletters, calendars, and flyers for events and resources while conducting outreach to partnerships and residents
- Foster a friendly and welcoming environment for community members and visitors
- Maintain accurate record keeping and document retention systems, compiling comprehensive reports
- Coordinate with community partners like Toys for Tots to organize special events and celebrations
